Capotorto Pitches in Old Time Baseball Game

Cambridge, MA - Jack Capotorto recorded a scoreless inning in the 2014 Old Time Baseball Game. The 21st annual edition was held in honor of ALS fighter Pete Frates, who was on hand and sat in the dugouts for most of the game. Capotorto became the sixth member of the Emerson baseball program to play in the game, joining Coach Buddy Hanley (played in ’05, ’06, and ’07), Peter Karl (’09), Nick Vennochi (’10), Geoff Lopes (’12), and Sammy Evers (’13). Jack faced just three batters in his inning of work, walking the lead-off man before inducing a double play ball and a ground out to short to end the frame.

Jack is pictured in his 1939 Oakland Oaks uniform alongside his father, sufficiently decked out in Emerson gear.
